An Interview w/Kitty & Buck!

1. Tell me a little about yourself and your blog:
 My name is Shell, my fiancé calls me Kitty. My blog, Kitty & Buck explores creative inspiration, photography, travel, fashion and snippets of my everyday life as a motion graphic designer, cat momma and gypsy-at-heart!



 2. What inspires you on a daily basis?
 I'm most inspired by my guy, he is one of those annoying people who is naturally talented at all creative pursuits, but he still works his butt off to be better and challenges himself (and me) on a daily basis. I'm also very inspired by travel, there's nothing better than discovering new places and meeting interesting characters, it feeds my soul!



 3. What do you do to motivate yourself on those humdrum days?
 I find the best thing to do is to stop what you are doing! Even if you just take 30 minutes, I always try to find a quiet place, preferably with some nature around. It's refreshing and clears your mind. 4. How would you describe your personal style? I have a pretty eclectic style, depending on my mood. I equally love wearing skinny jeans with boots and a leather jacket, and a swirly dress with a nanna cardigan! I'm pretty fancy free with my fashion choices, I don't follow trends and wear anything that takes my fancy. The thing people notice first is my hair!



 5. What do you hope to accomplish in the near future?
The main thing I am working towards right now is launching a design service through my blog. I'm hoping in the longer term to quit my day job and work for myself! 6. What are some of your favorite blogs? Oh gosh, this question is always so difficult! I have so many! I'd can say Paper Crowns is one of my favorites, I also should give credit to The Dainty Squid and Love Elycia for introducing me to this wonderful world of blogs and giving me the confidence to start my own! My Daily Reads page has a bunch of my other favourites. 7. Now onto music; are there any songs on repeat right now? What are they? My go to music is always the Drones, who if you haven't heard are an amazing Aussie band! I also listen to Cat Power pretty regularly, and love classical music including Arvo Part. My favourite genres are probably No Wave/Post Punk, folk/blues, classical and jazz (the old stuff with feelings)

 8. If you could travel any place in the world at this very instant, where would it be?
 My initial thought was a glass topped igloo in northern Sweden to see the northern lights, even though it's not quite that time of year yet! Second thought was New Hampshire to see the turning leaves and Halloween celebrations! 9. What is your favorite thing about your life right now? The fact that I'm full of ideas, it feels like a new phase is beginning.
