I recently found the website Rainy Mood; I've really enjoyed it. The calming sound of downpour accompanied by the smoke of incense, the jittery haze that a second cup of coffee provides, and an ink pen in hand.. this is joy. The world is such a grand place, so vast, filled with so many lives, souls, people trying to find their way. I find pleasure in the small things.. in waking up early, watching the sun rise, and then going back to sleep; in the joy of a vintage dress, picturing who wore it before me; in teasing my hair and listening to some old jazz, humming along to the melody, keenly aware of the beat; in picking wildflowers and pressing them between my old books. The smallest of things, the things that no one else gets to see.. the little pieces of my life that go vastly unnoticed.. these are the things that fill me, that make me who I am.

Gosh, you have such lovely hair! I love RainyMood. I love to play it in the background with some classical or relaxing music :)
ReplyDeletemy screensaver on my computer is a pretzel and candy corn fire complete with fire crackling noises. my favorite thing to fall asleep to other than rain itself.
ReplyDeleteYour writing is always so pretty and it's like drinking a lovely cup of tea even though I'm not drinking tea and I'm reading. Does that make sense? You're perfect, okay? Okay. :D
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks so pretty here~ you've been styling it so nicely lately! The flower in it is adorable. I also adore the texture of that dress.
Love that dress on you! I never realized how cute it was til now! <3
ReplyDeleteBombshell dress!!
ReplyDeletei'd never heard of rainymood before! thanks so much for sharing (i have it on right now!)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so adorable! I don't have my headphones on right now but I'm guessing rainy mood is a rain sound website? I've had a rain cd for years... I love listening to it when I read because it makes me feel like I'm reading on a chilly rainy day :D
ReplyDeleteThat lil paragraph you wrote about enjoying simple things...wow, that seriously touched me. You have a way with words! I feel the same way. Little things like waking up with the sunrise some days or taking walks at night...its moments like that that you can really appreciate life. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, about the outfit, haha, love this adorable dress on you! You are just so pretty. I love your style

The dress is very beautiful! and I love the flower in your hair!! I didn't know that website, and I don't love background music or sound - when I listen to music then I listen to it (may have something to do with my profession, classical music is nothing that I can have in the background). But I love jazz bars and things like buena vista social club for a dinner with friends! About the raindrops: everytime we go to my boyfriends parents, I really wish it will rain, because his room is just under the top, and when rain falls you can be in bed and listen to the rain outside - wonderful!
