I never fully intended for Laughing With Broken Eyes to become a fashion blog, or even a blog in general. I started out posting my poetry, little thoughts.. more like a diary-type thing. Occasionally I'd pop up in photos, but that really wasn't the focus. I began to get some positive feedback regarding my outfits, inquiries of where I'd gotten certain garments and whatnot, and really, it was a natural progression> I began poking around the internet and stumbling upon fashion blogs, a community that I'd never even known existed. What an inspiration! I thought. All of the young women, so content and self-assured, so good at being themselves. I knew that it was something I wanted to be a part of.

ps: I know it's been a while since I've mentioned the 'You are Perfection' feature. Given what happened earlier in this month and my impromptu visit back home, it's been pushed back. I've still got everyone's submissions, and I'm sorting through everything. Figure for the first week of August.
