here on earth

The sky is already purple; the first few stars have appeared, suddenly, as if someone had thown a handful of silver across the edge of the world. [Here on Earth]


It would seem as though I jinxed myself in yesterday's blog post, for it was certainly not 74 degrees today. Rather, the sky was very grey, wind taunted my dress and threatened to give all a glimpse of my biker shorts (I always, always wear shorts under my dresses). In short, it was a very Wuthering Heights sort of day.

With less than a week until spring break, I find myself catching my breath. I'm so excited to see my family and to be reunited with my puppies. That plus the prospect of sleeping in a full-sized bed over the twin that currently occupies my bedroom at school.
