Hair Tutorial: Big Hair

Of all of the questions I'm asked, the number one is how I get my hair so large! I'm a big fan of the Bardot-messy look, so be forewarned that this method is extremely basic and unprofessional. This look works best on day-old hair for texture, though texture can be faked using dry shampoo.

I do this once/twice a week and it stays  with small touch-ups and dry shampoo bits in between. If my hair feels too overdone, I just rinse it with water and allow it to dry.

This is a picture heavy post, so to see the rest of this tutorial, continue reading after the jump.

Hairspray-- cheapie brand from the drugstore! (If you have an option, however, I recommend Aussie Instant Freeze)
Flat Iron-- Misikko Straightener
Teasing comb-- $0.99 from dollar store.

If you have any questions, leave them as a comment and I will reply to them on this post!

I love this tutorial! I am always looking how to make my hair appear bigger, and your hair always looks fabulous. I love how you said "look like a mad scientist". That was my favorite part. <3

Aahh, awesome tutorial! I wish my hair would do this...it's so frizzy and unruly though. I think I'll have to try it anyway though and see what happens. :)

Goodness, I wish I had this much hair and could get away with not washing my hair on a daily basis.

Oh I love your hair, I wish mine would stay in like this. It always ends up flattening and straightening. The joys of thick heavy hair!

Oh, for once a tutorial that say's it's simple actually is! Thanks, I will def try this out soon since your hair always looks so voluminous pretty... although do you ever get problems with tangles from backteasing it? I get so many knots as it is!

You make me want to cut bangs again, even though it took forever to grow them out. But I will definitely try to tease my hair. Maybe I'll even post a picture.

You are lovely. Since we both know how lovely you are, I know that offensive comments and rude language won't be a problem.
