we live in a house of mirrors

The sun sets, and the bugs are busy crawling in the grass. Prickley leaves litter the driveway, and I am watching the wind dance with them from my windowsill. I'll light a candle and toast to my youth, to the summer, to tomorrow. Another night is rapidly approaching, and a day has gone by in the blink of an eye. I can taste the the sun, but it is quickly fading.

Sometimes, it really frightening to come to terms with how fast time goes by.. a breath, a second, a minute, a lifetime. It really does go by so quickly..

Are these photos taken with your new camera? Because they are magically delicious! You have SUCH a beautiful face, with such incredible features. Seriously!!

Time does go by so quickly, we don't even realize it.

I've been reading through your posts that I've missed, I saw that you commented on my blog about basically the same thing! Thanks for following my blog; I've been following yours for a while and I adore you and your style. I also really love reading your beautiful words and poetry. Your lovely symphonies of words sometimes move me to tears. Thank you for that. ♥ I'm a writer too. I actually just started a new novel about an hour ago, and I also write poetry and love to intertwine those verses into my books.

Sorry for this insanely long comment, haha, but I feel like if we knew each other in "real life" that we'd be great friends.

You look so lovely, Amber Rose, and a little bit mournful. Life really does go to fast; I think I must get out and experience it. : )

'Blink and you'll miss it' has kind of been the lesson of my life the past few weeks, it is reassuring to know that I am not the only one slightly lost by the speed of time. Lovely dress, the cut is perfect for you. And I adore your lipstick, you look beautiful xo

I used to worry of time constantly, but I've let it all go and have stopped counting, it is all just numbers really. I just absorb now, with each and every step. I adore your dress, it's always lovely to find lost treasures such as that! I hope you are well dearest!

xx and hugs

I think that you put into words exactly what I'm always thinking just beautifully... The other day after taking outfit photos I sat down on a bench and just breathed in the summer. I breathed in everything that summer is, and always has been. I thought about how in a few months I'll be a senior and how fast this next year will go, and it scared me but excited me at the same time.

Thank you so much for always being an inspiration, Amber <3

I know just you mean. Sometimes I can't believe I'm going to be eighteen. Today I am exactly six months from it. Tomorrow I will be officially past the half way point from seventeen to eighteen. That just seems so close.

When I was a little kid, I used to think that the whole growing-up-thing was just a myth. That adults always had and always would be adults, and kids always had and always would be kids. I thought I would never be grown up with my own kids. And now this is my last year of high school. My last year of home school (which, having been home schooled since pre-k is hugs for me!)

But I'm rambling now. I guess I should probably do a post on this sometime. ;-D

But anyway, I know just what you mean.

Love you, girl!!!! <3 <3 <3
